I have been speaking to Laura for a few months and she very kindly donated some of these wonderful products as prizes for the Charity Raffle at the Big Fat Scottish Tweet Up.
I chatted to Laura to find out more about Lovelocks.
"LoveLocks™ are inspired by an ancient custom believed to have originated in China, where lovers lock a padlock on a chain or a gate, and then throw the key into the misty valleys, symbolically locking their love forever."

Laura adds "LoveLocks was started by my mother-in-law in the USA, and has quickly grown it into a very successful product and brand.
With the success she has seen there, it was always going to be the case that when the time was right we would launch the project here in the UK, which we did in June of this year."

"We are currently working on a project for one of the leading Zoo's in the country.
They have recently launched wedding packages, which are going down a treat!
They are keen to integrate the LoveLocks not only into these, but also into the animal adoption programmes. We are working on some really unique and exciting projects for them, and loving every minute!"
"We are also introducing some new 'Tree of Life' displays soon, and we already get a massive request rate from couples wanting to integrate these into their wedding ceremonies so I am also looking forward to this spreading even further!

Thanks to Laura for sharing this fabulous idea. Its certainly something a little bit different and a wonderful new tradition. The idea of locking your love forever is both quaint and endearing, and the fact that you can come back and revist the special place and moment where you locked your lock is lovely.
