Since forming in 2002, Ever After Productions have created elegant, cinematic Wedding films using a fresh and distinctive style, and the business has gone from strength to strength. An award winning team, their most recent accolade was a Creative Excellence award at the annual WEVA awards in Florida.
The team consist of Sylvia, a graduate from Sheffield Hallam University with a BA in Film Studies, and Niels who has a background in broadcasting and multimedia, and who has a Masters in Musicology and a MPhil in Sound Design
Their philosophy is that all their productions are as individual as the couples that star in them, and I thoroughly agree with that approach.
Their boutique style service ensures that they create a video that reflects each person's style.
They like to get to know their clients, both personally as well as professionally as there are not many events more personal as a wedding, and you have got to feel comfortable with someone that is getting so up close with you.
At consultation they carefully discuss ideas so that they can capture and reflect the feelings you have, ensuring each production is one that you will treasure forever.
They have a few different signature packages, but they are specialists in Vintage and Nostalgic productions through the use of Super 8mm film, and they are also the U.K pioneers of the Same Day Editing Service.
They have very many happy clients, but I thought this one summed their extrodinary service up best.
"Ever After capture some of the most captivating and atmospheric Videos I have ever seen.
The level of creativity and professionalism is second to none and they continue to shine in a very competetive market.
Both Sylvia and Neils are a joy to work with, and I would have no hesitation in recommending them.
They will produce a lasting memory of your wedding that you will tresure for years to come."

Their work is fresh and exciting in a world where wedding video's can sometimes lack energy and a be a bit dull.
Personally, I am a big fan and find their work stunning.

4th Row: Jasmine Shoe
5th Row - Anastasia shoe
6th Row: Genevieve Clutch
7th Row: Bibi Feather Cape
8th Row: Vivette Shrug
9th Row: Tiffi Feather Cape.
On a leisurely afternoon out I came across the dazzling Summer 2010 collection of Bridal gowns and
accessories by Monsoon.
This collection oozes style with beautiful lines, and sumptous fabrics, and oodles of beading and pearls.
I am totally in love with each of the gorgeous gowns, and fabulous accessories to complete the look.
I adore the Roux gown. This is a masterpiece in silver that screams "Buy me now" with its ruched bust, front
hanging sash detail and flattering cut away back.
The Maurice is a lovely knee length shift with a gorgeous embroidered neckline and pearl detailing, a feminine
low scooped back and draped loose sash.
The Modestine dress has a grecian feel and has delicate front and back pearl detailing, and is just a beautiful
gown.
The gowns wouldn't be out of place at the grandest venue , an intimate affair or a destination wedding.
There are no words to describe how dainty and gorgeous the Jasmine bridal shoes are.
Encrusted with tiny pearls they truly are a style statement.
The Anastasia Bridal shoes come in silver with crystal detailing, a perfect complement to the stunning Roux dress.
I really like the Genevieve clutch bag encrusted in pearls with a divine art deco style clasp.
The Bibi Freather cape, is just perfect for that Winter wedding.
The Vivette shrug with its scalloped shaped edges and its beautiful fluted sleeves is just exquisite.
The Tiffy feather cape says look at me and brings in a little bit of the quirky.
However big or small your day is, this collection is just fabulous. With gowns ranging from £150 - £250,
they don't break the bank and with fantastic affordable accessories too.
It definetely wowed me, time for renewal of vows I think !!!

Wedding Planning for Real Men !
I have been thinking a lot recently after chatting to my friend Andrew at http://www.iamstaggered.com/ [online mens wedding planning mag] of how to convince the male species that more involvement in the world of Wedding Planning is actually fun and not at all scary !
I have put together something that may be food for thought for all the boys out there.
1.Making Decisions
For the next 50 years or so, you are going to be making decisons together, so now is as good a time as any to start.
When you get engaged, its time to sit down as a couple and discuss your thoughts on what you think would make your wedding day really special.
A lot of the time, it gets thought about as the Bride's day but it takes two to make a wedding so it only stands to reason that the day should encompass what you both enjoy.
2.Sharp Suit
This is something you really want to be involved in.
Do you want to end up in some stuffy suit that you would ordinarily never wear in a million years, or a Tartan you despise, No !!
This is a day when you want to look your very best, so liase with your partner.
Discuss colour themes so that you have a basis on which to build and properly co-ordinate, but buy/hire something that you feel comfortable in and is a true reflection of you.
3. Wad of Cash
Its very likely that you will be handing over substantial amounts of cash during the wedding planning process.
Do you want to know what its being spent on, or do you just write the cheques for a quiet life.?
Chances are in true bloke style you will want to know exactly where your hard earned pound is going.
But look at it from a balance point of view.
Those designer shoes that the Bride "must" have, can balance out to a Lamborghini to the church for you.
4. Support
This should go without saying, but your partner needs your support.
Its a well known fact that Weddings can be stressful , isn't it better to share problems.
"A problem shared is a problem halved " or so it says.
Every bride can have those Bridezilla moments, and every Groom can have his napkin panic , but when issues are faced together, sometimes those little problems might not seem like the massive mountains they appear.
5.Being a responsible adult can be liberating
You done this amazing thing, you've got down on one knee with the romantic proposal and she's said yes and everything is jolly fantastic.
Here lies the end of your responsibility in the process, ummm NO !!!
There are so many exciting things you can be involved in, like writing your vows, writing a truly memorable speech, learning to dance, organising an unforgettable stag weekend, choosing favours, writing invitations and shock horror, making stuff !
This wedding that is something you both want is a joint decision, and with that comes joint responsibility. Yes, girls might enjoy all the funny little details, but at the end of the day, it is supposed to be the best day of both your lives...so isn't it better sharing the journey to get there.
And you never know, you might actually enjoy it !!!

Black and White Ball
Inspired a little by Elton John's White Tie and Tiara Ball and the black wedding dress trend and the possible black and white theme at a certain Mr Cowell's nuptuals, I bring a few suggestions for a black and white ball theme.
This theme can be brought together quite easily and this classic choice can make a striking and sophisticated statement.
Invitations in your signature colour with perhaps a monogram or a simple design would give your guests an elegant preview of your day.
And for on the day, these designs could be brought through in the Order of Service, menus, table plans and placecards.
Dressing your reception venue will be simple using classic white tablecloths with black napkins, black tablerunners or the use of black dishes.
This could be done with a black base and white accessories too.
For a bit of sparkle and bling, you could use table confetti or table diamonds.
If using chair covers, a white base with a black sash would be lovely , as it would in the reverse order.
For centrepieces, striking white blooms such as white roses, tulips or orchids in black vases would look beautiful or a martini glass filled with black and white marbles or beads would look really special.
As would a simple hurricane case with a large white church candle with marbles or beads.
You could also have a fish bowl arrangement with black and white floating candles or flowers.
For favours, you could have monogrammed boxes in either black or white with mints or chocolates.
Or you could have little black organza bags with the classic bombonniere.
The colour combination is so simple that you could choose practically anything that you wish for gifting to your guests.
For wedding attire, the groom will look very dapper in a black tuxedo or suit or even , the extremely fashionable Black Kilt.
Bridesmaids will look gorgeous in stunning black gowns, or if the bride is looking for something a little bit different , she could wear the black wedding dress, and the bridesmaids would look equally stunning in white.
You can have a lot of fun with your cake too, this colours scheme gives you lots of scope.
Cupcakes are kind of cool and retro and look amazing in a black/white configuration, but similarly a white cake , surrounded in black ribbon, or a damask patterned cake will look very stylish.
Sometimes a small injection of colour will give this Wedding theme an interesting lift, but it is just as elegant on its own.

Venue Review - The Lynnhurst Hotel, Johnstone
Today I would like to introduce the Lynnhurst Hotel to you.
Having recently undergone an extensive refurbishment, the Lynnhurst Hotel combines traditional grace with modern efficiency making it Renfrewshire's new aspirational venue.
Set in a qiuet, prestigious residential area, it is surrounded by perfectly lanscaped gardens.
It provides relaxed contemporary accomodation, with twenty four hour internet access, luxury toiletries, hospitality tray and satellite TV.
The bedrooms are stylish, combining stunning traditional features with a modern inviting finish and the Bridal Suite is beautiful.
For a wedding celebration it has three suites.
Two of which are suitable for a ceremony or a small wedding.
If you have wedding entertainment, such as a band or disco, the main suite is the perfect choice.
In this suite, they had some beautiful chandeliers, but what made it original, was that it had a lampshade over each of them, to make it just a little bit different.
It sounds strange but it really worked.
And with its gorgeous coffee coloured paintwork and dark mahoghany panelling, it just screams luxury.
It can cater for up to 160 for a full sit down meal and up to 200 for an evening reception.
This room opens out onto a light airy conservatory area, which for a celebration can be furnished with lovely comfy couches for an escape to a little oasis of calm, away from the festivities.
Drinks receptions and wedding ceremonies can also take place on the well manicured lawn and the surroundings are idylic for wedding photography.
And if you thought it was just too good to be true, I haven't even mentioned the food yet....mmm, lovely !!
I had a tasting of their Chicken Suedoise [chicken served with woodland mushroom and a tarragon and white wine cream] and it was melt in the mouth gorgeous and I highly recommend it.
Put all this marvellousness together with the lovely staff of the hotel and this venue is just fantastic for any wedding or event.
