When, and why was Star Weds created ?
"We came up with the idea in May last year.
We had attended five weddings in 2009 and given money as a gift at every single one.
We found that there was no safe and/or easy way to do this, so we came up with the innovative and unique idea of StarWeds."

"StarWeds is comprised of myself, and my partner Chris, and we have been together for a number of years. How does a Couple set up the List ?
"It is quick, easy, and free to set up a StarWeds account, and as part of the service we provide:
-"Personalised wedding website (upload a photo, your wedding details, messages to guests, view your online guest book and more).
This will also give a personalised URL (e.g. www.starweds.co.uk/alisonandpartner)"
-"Beautiful, customised invitation inserts to direct your wedding guests to your site"
-"Email notifications to let you know when you have received a contribution"
-"Stylish, customised gift certificates for guests"
-"Guests can choose from a variety of payment methods (credit / debit card, balance transfer or cheque)"
-"All of your funds are stored in a dedicated client fund bank account.

Thanks very much to Gillian for speaking to us today. From my experience on Wedding Forums, this option is very much needed.
As Gillian said there are very many couples that have already set up home, and would prefer to have a Money list so they can purchase bigger items such as furniture, or go on that luxury break that they would not ordinarily be able to afford.
I think its an absolutely brilliant idea, and think that Star Weds will continue to go from strength to strength.
